Pass Hologram

Your 3i-D card displays the PASS hologram, endorsed by the Home Office.

Therefore your 3i-D is an official ID card, which can be used when going to the cinema, traveling or in shops to prove your age.

CitizenCard 18+ ID Offer

As a 3i-D cardholder, you will have the option to purchase an 18+ ID card from CitizenCard before turning 18.

The 18+ photo ID will cost just £3 (normal price £15)!

They guarantee you different offers when traveling East Sussex by bus.

Freedom Ticket

With the 3i-D card you can purchase the Freedom ticket which gives you unlimited travel on nearly every bus* in East Sussex for seven days in a row, including weekends.  The Freedom ticket is £16 per week and is issued on the bus as a paper ticket.

*Please contact the bus operator before travelling to ensure they issue and accept the Freedom Ticket.

Guaranteed Child Fares

Child Fares on all bus routes in East Sussex and on all Metrobus services outside London.

How long can I use the Under-16 ID for?

Your Under-16 ID card will be valid until the 31 August after you turn 16.  An example is if you turn 16 on 1 September 2020 then your ID card will be valid until 31 August 2021.  But you can choose to upgrade it to a 16-19 card as soon as you turn 16 all you need to do is reapply.

Stagecoach

Child rate day tickets on Stagecoach buses in East Sussex, for off peak travel during the week after 1p.m. and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays.

How long can I use the 16-19 ID for?

Your 16-19 ID card will be valid until the 31 August after you turn 19.  An example is if you turn 19 on 1 September 2020 then your ID card will be valid until 31 August 2021.

Love2Shop Discounts

Upon receiving your 3i-D Card, CitizenCard will send you a pre-paid Love2Shop card which gives you 7% off big-brand retailers.

How does it work?

Every time you load money onto your Love2shop card you get 7% off. That means that if you load £10 you get £10.70 to spend and if you load £100 you get £107 to spend – perfect for when you want to make a big or small purchase.

Logos show just some of the many stores you receive discounts for.

Eligibility

Do you live, study or work in East Sussex? Are you aged 11-19?

If yes, then you are eligible to apply for a 3i-D Card.

Please note you need to be training, working, studying or living in East Sussex for at least one year to apply.

Photograph

3i-D is a legal form of ID and therefore requires a suitable ‘passport style’ photograph.

You can upload a photograph through the online application form, or attach one with the printed application form.

To apply online you need your school/colleges unique organisation code (UOC).  Not all school/colleges have one, see the list below.

How do I make a paper application?

You should make a paper application if:

A) your school/college only accepts paper applications.

B) you do not attend a listed school/college or you are working/training, then you can apply at an  East Sussex library instead.

Paper applications can take up to 28 days to process, so speak to your bus operator about the best priced ticket in the meantime.
